Inspiration on the Northshore

Adaptive Athletes Shine at Fontainebleau

Over 100 runners gathered at Fontainebleau State Park for the Jockamo 5K and Northshore Half Marathon weekend — and two moments stood above the rest.

Greg Tate's Emotional Finish Line Walk

Assisted by his wife Heather, Greg Tate tackled the Jockamo 5K in a specialized running chariot with the support of Team Pack A Lunch. As he neared the final stretch, Greg stepped out of the chariot and walked across the finish line under his own power — bringing spectators and fellow runners to tears and drawing cheers from the entire crowd.

Jared Boudreaux Powers Through 13.1 Miles

On Sunday, veteran Team Pack A Lunch athlete Jared Boudreaux wheeled all 13.1 miles under his own power — no assistance needed. Racing alongside Coach Tiffany Landreaneau, Jared helped guide her to the finish line while inspiring every runner around him. His first Northshore Half Marathon medal was well earned.
